You won't be disappointed w/ your investment...If you are looking for an elegantly simple dress shoe, the genuine leather Monk Strap Dress Shoes from Allonsi is an ideal first choice for men looking for their next comfortable dress shoe.Perfect for formal occasions, business engagements, or as part of your everyday look.The shoes fit exactly as I expected, they are really great quality and quite comfortable, a must for any man!It’s really ridiculous that I returned a defective one and they send me more worse defective one and I get tired so I give it away.Very poor supervision or they do that intentionally, I don’t know but I lost $ 89.I am a fan of shoes that are handcrafted to perfection and when you are dealing with a welted Goodyear stitch there is no way to fake this kind of design. I am saying fake- because a lot of companies use the handcrafted description to make the item seem more authentic when the item is mass produced in a factory. With a shoe having a welted Goodyear stitch like this pair from the trusted Allonsi brand it is like having a little reinforced bridge in the middle of your foot.I have several pairs of shoes from the Allonsi brand now and hold them at the highest rank amongst my shoes and boots. I have an old pair of shoes that have a Goodyear stitch and although not this brand the shoe has held up for six years based on the design. I feel the longevity of that pair of shoes is due to this additional special stitching. The welt stitch is not just an added piece that is placed on the top surface of the shoe. It is stitched into the bottom and curve end of the shoe and therefor attached to the inseam area and outsole as well as the insole. Tis is hard to describe but inside the shoe box you receive a detailed diagram showing this bridge like design.The diagram indicated the Goodyear Welt is so strong due to it being stitched to the upper leather, lining leather then to the ribbing. After that the welt is worked into the leather of the sole.I love the darker brown color mixed with a lighter brown. This synthesis can be most easily seen when looking at the picture i included that shows a close up of the toe area. This area gradually becomes darker as it travels to the very end of the toe section in turn showing a drastic shift in the brown coloration.The big standout feature of this shoe along with the welt is the neat Monk strap which is self explanatory when viewing the picture of the full shoe. This strap is large and looks like a whole extra thick layer of shoe. The strap has two areas where there is a buckle that can be adjusted. I love the strap and from the side profile of the shoe it looks like it has three main section rathe than two. I like the heel height and the protective rubber piece that has a ribbed surface and appears on half of the back heel section. This rubber heel guard is great for someone like me who wears dress clothes to work and is often on the move extensively.'This shoe has a nice shine to it and can be kept looking great with regular polishing as well as conditioning.In conclusion I am super happy with this shoe and highly recommend not only this shoe but the whole Allonsi brand in general.These are classy looking dress shoes that looks and feels expensive.It's made of a very stiff leather. There is no grip on the bottom so aftermarket pads will be needed or these will be like ice skates on slippery surfaces such as wet tile floors or snowy pavements.,The fit seems to be about right but they weren't kidding when they said these need to be broken in. Yes, these require a very long break in period during which they are very uncomfortable. Mine are still not broken in.Softer leather would have been much better.
